ARDAI is a food products distribution company. Ardai, which in Basque means “torch”, was established in 1988 by Amagoia Anda, Margarita Ollé and Josep María Tutusaus, in Barcelona, Spain. The concept for the business developed within "Mestres Formatgers Artesans de Catalunya", an association with a longstanding tradition and great prestige in the specialised food sector in Spain. This association pioneered the information and promotion of the Spanish artisan farmhouse cheeses through her member’s shops. ARDAI adopted, developed and extended this idea into the catering trade.
